Family referral

Someone is coming home. Let's find out what housing is actually possible.

A short inquiry for family members, friends, attorneys and advocates looking for independent housing for an adult 60 or over returning to Raleigh or Wake County.

How a family inquiry works

  1. 1

You tell us the basics — area, timeline, age band, budget. Nothing about their case.

  2. 2

We tell you whether housing of the right kind exists, and what it costs.

  3. 3

If it does, we explain the application and any supervision approval that would be needed.

  4. 4

The person themselves makes the decision. We do not house someone on a family member's instruction.

What you cannot do on someone else's behalf

A family member cannot approve a release address, sign a lease for the person without authority, or commit them to housing. Address approval belongs to the supervising authority; the housing decision belongs to the person.

Family referral inquiry

Fields marked with an asterisk are required. This is an inquiry, not an application or a reservation.

This is a partnership inquiry. It does not reserve housing or confirm a placement. Do not include client names, dates of birth, SSNs, diagnoses, medical records, criminal histories or financial documents.

Optional. Leave blank if you prefer email.

A band only — we do not ask for a date of birth.

Please do not include Social Security numbers, medical records, criminal history or benefits documents.

An inquiry does not guarantee housing, reserve a room or confirm eligibility. Housing is subject to property availability, lawful occupancy, individual eligibility and any applicable supervision approval.
