Who we are
Preferred Housing Solutions is a real estate and independent housing company focused on connecting housing needs with suitable properties and practical partnerships. We work with property owners, agencies and community organizations to develop housing opportunities for independent adults.
Raleigh and the Triangle are our home market. We are building agency relationships, documenting housing needs and recruiting property partners ahead of expansion into Charlotte, Fayetteville and Greenville.
What we do
We bring the two sides of a housing solution together: the organizations who know what housing their community needs, and the property owners who have buildings that could provide it.
Our work is the process between those two — requirements discovery, geographic needs assessment, housing and property partnership development, clear contact ownership and documented follow-up.
How we work with agencies
We start by documenting the housing need: counties, household size, room format, affordability range, payer categories and the requirements your referral process demands.
Referrals, housing acceptance and payment authorization are three separate steps. A referral does not authorize payment and does not by itself confirm a placement.
How we work with property owners
We explore what a property could lawfully and practically support, then work through the structure with you in writing. Brokerage, management, master lease and other arrangements are kept distinct.
We do not guarantee rent, occupancy, returns, agency payment or government backing.
Our housing model
Independent, nonmedical housing for adults who can live independently, with outside supports arranged independently where appropriate.
This model does not include personal care, clinical treatment, medication management or supervision. Independent shared housing, recovery housing, returning-citizen housing and workforce housing are distinct pathways, each with its own scope and operating requirements.
About this document
This is an original Preferred Housing Solutions document describing our own approach and process. It is not an executed contract, and it is not an approved agency, government or funder document. Nothing in it reserves housing, confirms a placement or authorizes payment.
