The full sequence from first conversation to coordinated next steps.
Version 1.0 · Approved 2026-10-10 · Owner: Partnerships · Reviewed quarterly
Why this roadmap exists
Partnerships work when the requirements are defined before the property is chosen. This roadmap lays out the sequence we follow, so you know what happens at each step and who owns it.
Stage 1 — Understand local housing needs
We start by documenting need with agencies and communities: counties, household size, room format, affordability and payer categories.
Output: a documented housing-needs summary.
Stage 2 — Document agency and property requirements
What must be true of a property, and of each party’s obligations, for this to work.
Output: a partnership requirements brief agreed by both sides.
Stage 3 — Develop suitable housing arrangements
Owner authority, proposed use, local demand, property condition, access conditions, insurance and costs worked through into a structure.
Output: a proposed arrangement.
Stage 4 — Coordinate next steps with accountable follow-through
Every party knows who owns the next action and when it is due, and follow-up is documented rather than assumed.
Output: a documented next action and due date.
How this connects to the Partnership Desk
Every inquiry enters a single pipeline: New Inquiry → Assigned → Contact Attempted → Discovery Scheduled → Requirements Documented → Follow-Up → Active Discussion / Future Follow-Up / Closed.
Each record carries a region, an owner, a backup, a next action and a due date.
About this document
This is an original Preferred Housing Solutions document describing our own approach and process. It is not an executed contract, and it is not an approved agency, government or funder document. Nothing in it reserves housing, confirms a placement or authorizes payment.
